thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving!
This is not only a day for eating copious amounts of unnecessary food.
This is the time of year where we actually talk about the things we're thankful for.
Aren't we supposed to be thankful for these things every single day?
This past year has been one of change for myself.
It's because of the incredibly drastic changes that I began
keeping a Gratitude Journal. Each and every day
I write down three things for which I am thankful.
Among the leading contenders for those three little lines in my
coveted moleskine notebook are friends, family and music.
Take a look at just a few of the people that keep me going.
Molly- She is my sanity. My other half. My inspiration. My role model and my best friend.
I would not be who I am today without her.
Jessalyn- This gorgeous girl has only been in my life for a short time. But in this short while,
she has become someone I can always turn to. She knows when to set me straight, when
to let me ramble, when to listen, when to shut me up, shes amazing and hardly knows it.

Old & New Friends- *Please excuse this picture. It was not a good picture taking night.*
As always I'm grateful for those people who have been in my lifefor a long time.
Jackie(right) and I have known each other since third grade.
But more recently I have become even more grateful for those new people in my life.
Diana(left) and I just met a few months ago.
The new people that have been brought into my life keep me grouded in their own ways.
They've taught me that life goes on. Even when you think it cant go on any more.
They've both become a part of my (almost) daily life, and I'm so thankful for the two of them

Cait, Prettygirl- Cait and I have been friends for years. Since our early highschool years.
Shes married and lives far away now, but she is always close to me.
She has such a special place in my heart and I am SO excited for her and her hubby to move closer!

Krystal- I hardly have words for this one. She knows how much she means to me and she knows exactly why. We finish each others sentences and I laugh hysterically as she sings to on demand karaoke.

Teeny, Ashley, & Kate- Any of the stories that I would use here to describe my love
for these girls cannot be repeated. What happens at 14th Street stays at 14th Street.

My sister, Jessica- Enough said.

love

i love this

I would rather be...

In another life I'd be one of three things.
A Photographer
An Interrior Designer
A Baker.

If I one day beome any of these things, these are the people I'd want to be like.

A Photographer- Tony and Amy Hoffer are the two most amazing
photographers I've ever met. Not only do they have an incredible eye for
pictures, but they are adorable, so easy to work with and hilarious.

An Interrior Designer- Young House Love is a blog I've talked about before.
Theyre one of my favs.

A Baker- Bakerella has such great ideas. Her website is full of delicious treats,
perfect for all occasions!

Style Inspiration: Zooey Deschanel

With the cold weather and harsh winds that
come hand in hand with winter I am attempting to force
myself out of my hooded sweatshirts and into a
fashionable winter wardrobe.
I'm inspired by one of my favorites Zooey Deschanel.
She is adorable in every sense of the word.
Her sense of style is just one reason to be jealous
of Mrs. Ben Gibbard.
Take a look at some of my favorites.

Isnt it lovely?

Isn't it lovely
when a picture instantly
portrays an emotion, a memory, a feeling?
This photo feels like my best friend.
It reminds me of our unique friendship.
2,700 miles strung together,
with little tiny white envelopes.
This picture makes me feel home.

Skinny Love

Who will love you? Who will fight? Who will fall far behind?

My best friend in the whole world also happens to be one of the cutest bloggers I know.
She finds the most amazing little gems and the perfect words to accompany them.
Since her post earlier this week, I have listened to this song countless times.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
& dont forget to check out her blog sunshine on a cloudy day.

Tonight's Project

Much like most people I have a morning routine.
I wont bore you with the timeline of events but here are a few
things that happen without a doubt every. single. morning.
get up. make the bed.
[yes. this is ALWAYS the first thing i do]
[even if someone is still sleeping there]
then in no particular order:
shower, drink coffee, eat breakfast.
and my favorite part...browse my daily blogs.
Surely if I were to look at all of the blogs i love every day,
this would take an extremely large part out of my day.
However there are a few that I check in on religiously.
Among them is Young House Love.
I wish I could say that I've been keeping up
with this super adorable couple since the beginning of their blog,
but sadly I've just found them a few short months ago.
They had me hooked at first glance.

Much like Sherry, I also keep a Gratitude Journal. Over the last {almost} year
it has become one of my most prized possesions.
So when I saw their post yesterday I fell in love all over again.

With a surprise night to myself and the inspiration of my best friend
I've decided this is definitely my project for the night.

The possibilities are endless with some glass vases, glass etching cream, and a stencil.
Check out their ingenious creation here.

But first; What are you thankful for??
