It's been a while since I've had a chance to give you some of my Friday Favorites.

Friday Favorites

Yet again the week has flown by unbelievably fast.

For me, it was one of those weeks that felt painfully slow,

but now that its over, I'm not sure where the days went.

This weekend will involve work (yuck), fire pits, DIY projects,

shoppping with my madre, hanging out with my favorite little kids,

celebrating birthdays and hopefully a little bit of relaxing.

Here are a few of my most favorite things as of late.

• 60 handwritten letters in envelopes that are to die for? Yes please!
• Lace is definitely in this season and I've gotten hooked
• With a change of seasons comes a change in many menus, I'd love to host a party to try out a few of these mouth watering finds: here, here, & here
• Every holiday I usually end up with the task of making the centerpiece, this year I'll be traveling for the holidays but would love to give my own version of this as a gift
• I dare you to tell me this doesnt look amazing
• Knowing that sometime in the relatively near future I'll be in my own house or apartment I love finding little bits of inspiration for decorating. I love the clean feeling of these pictures.
• The vintage filing cabinet in this post by Jenny over at Little Green Notebook would be amazing in any space

So Long Summer Part Two

After yesterdays post, next up on my list of summer activities was a trip a tiny bit west

to see my friend Jess and her adorable son Brandyn in Chicago. Oh and her boyfriend Andy too.

[which by the way, tomorrow is Brandyns 2nd birthday! Happy early Birthday handsome!]

After Chicago was a random array of greatness.

I got to see the Femme Fatale tour with Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj (amazing!),

made some Fourth of July treats, spent a sunday in the Big Apple with my college roommate Kristy,

 and relaxed at my family's lake house with my close friends and life savers Matt & Kati.

Not to mention the numerous hours I logged at Citizens Bank Park supporting the Phillies.

With the craziness of summer travels, it's been a while since I spent quality time in the kitchen.

This week I've got two baking projects so I turned to one of my favorite sites to get lost in for some inspiration.

4th Favorites

For the first time in a long time I dont have a weekend jam packed with plans for the 4th.

This year it won't be spent relaxing on the lake,

or at my favorite beach club in LA with my favorite extended family.

This years three day weekend is going to consist of go-with-the-flow-do-whatever-I-want type plans.

Here are four of my favorite finds this week.

Friday Favorites

Another week down and the weekend is finally here!

This weekend my sister is coming home from Florida so I'm not traveling at all.

Weird. I know.

Sometimes the stress of working two jobs,

and attempting to have a personal life can get pretty out of hand.

These girls (and Matt), remind me what I love about my long days and late nights due to double shifts.

We're a tight knit family and I love it.

One Day

I'll actually get back in the groove of blogging regularly.

For now, every time I think I'll be able to, I will undoubtedly get distracted.

In just a few short hours I'm headed south for a friends

gorgeous beach wedding. It couldn't be better timing, I'm beyond

excited for a mini vacation, the beach, palm trees, drinks and a nice tan.

As you can read here, I'm easily lost in the world of Pinterest.

I've been wanting to share some of my favorite pins,

but since my mac hates to publish photos on blogger,

I'm stuck sharing a bunch of links.

Friday Favorites

This week has felt like the longest week. Then again I feel like I say that alot lately.

With working two jobs and other various after work activities,
I find myself reading or sleeping with little free time I do have.
Not to mention that after working 8+ hours on a computer a day each and every week,
the last thing I usually want to do when I get home is open up my laptop.

Which is probably why I find myself finishing this post Saturday morning...
As I work from two laptops and blog from another,
(Yes, thats three computers. I've become quite the multi-tasker...
multiple computers going at once is not unusual for me these days.)
enjoying a large cup of coffee, theres not much more that I want to do than
get up and go.

Things I learned this weekend...

1. I have an undying love for traveling and it needs to be fulfilled as frequently as possible.
2. I babysit some of the most adorable children I've ever met.
3. I need to get back to baking/cooking daily.

6. I hate hate hate flax seeds. I hate the smell. I hate the crunch and I especially hate the taste.

Chicago

A few years ago I met one of my dearest friends.
Although we may not talk every day, or even every week, she means more to me than she knows.
Life goes on and things change.
Some of the changes in our lives over the past few years have put hundreds of miles between us and have brought the cutest little boy to us.
Meet Brandyn Jess' beautiful baby boy.

He is hands down top ten cutest kid ever.

In September I was lucky enough to travel to Chicago with my friend Christie to visit Jess and celebrate Brandyn's first birthday.

Baking

lately i have become obsessed with baking.

after making bakerella's cake pops i just want to keep going.

after spending a significant amount of time in the baking aisle of Michael's today,
