Happy Friday!

This week is finalllly coming to a close. Did it feel torturously slow for anyone else?

As you know I'm headed away for the long weekend and thought I'd leave you with some of my favorite pictures of gorgeous vintage luggage. I've decided I definitely need to keep an eye out for some amazing pieces similar to these for around my one day dream house.

One day maybe I'll add a piece of LV luggage to my collection.

But don't worry, I dont travel with this many bags and I wont be doing ridiculous poses on my LV trunk.

Can We Get a Redo?

Even though its been almost a week already, I'm still reeling from my weekend getaway to the Big Apple.
I would much rather be there right now.

If you had asked me last week if I would ever move to the city,

I would have said absolutely not.

But after a whirlwind three day reuinion in the city that never sleeps, I've reconsidered.

Our East Coast meets West Coast weekend was filled with late nights, extremely little sleep,

shopping, a concert, a Broadway show, a luxurious hotel
(I definitely recommend the Cooper Square Hotel for anyone visiting NYC),  amazing friends, great Irish pubs, and occasionally forgetting to eat because we were having so much fun.

We had the chance to jump on a train to New Jersey and meet up with old friends.
It'd been nearly 8 years since we were all together! It was incredibly reassuring to find that nothing had changed. We're all a little older, a few of us a little taller, but immediately fell back into our comfortable friendships that make these friends my family.

I wish we could redo the entire weekend over and over again!

And I'm off again! I'm Chicago bound this weekend,

and can't wait to spend some time in the Windy City!

If you were around AL last summer, you already know that once the summer months hit,

I tend to hit the road as much as possible.

By plane, or train, or car; near or far, chances are I'm willing to go.

You would think that with all of my travelling I would be a pro at packing and unpacking.

False.

I procrastinate and dont pack until the last possible minute,

and I hate unpacking with a burning passion.

Next week we'll talk more about where I've been and where I'm headed.

Friday Favorites

After a long and stressful week

(many of them as a matter of fact) 

I'm excited its Friday.

Here are a few of my favorite things that got me through the week.

• Lonny -- Lonny Mag is full of inspiration. I love sitting with a cup of coffee and "flipping" through the virtual pages.  
• Little Green Notebook -- another of my favorite daily blog reads. Jenny's posts are truely inspirational. Not to mention the latest features one of my favorite guilty pleasures, Gossip Girl. [Be sure to check out this post too! What a brilliant way to save some bills.]
• Adele has been getting me through many stressful days [weeks] of work lately.
• As I've recently been having numerous photo uploading blog issues, I've become even more jealous of Angie's blog design and amazing photography skills.
• Letterpress business cards on Oh Happy Day. I love love love the "Maggie" design.

Anything special planned for this lovely weekend?

Lovely Monday

Happy Monday!

This past weekend I took a little roadtrip to Connecticut

to spend the weekend visiting good friends.

There's nothing like a four hour drive home,

and waking up alone on a rainy Monday morning to start the week.

Here's what's helping me beat the Monday's this week.

Friday Favorites

I thought I looked forward to weekends in college.

If only I had known what I was in for. 

Friday has become my favorite day of the week by a long shot.

Heres a few of this weeks Friday Favs.

• I cant help it. I'm undoubtedly in love with Britneys new song.
• tumblr. Particularly that of my other half.
• Summer. I simply cannot wait for summer dresses.
• House Crashing on YoungHouseLove. (Mainly the green hutch in the entry way, If I could buy that house just to get the owner to throw in the hutch, I would.)
• St. Patricks Day. All things green. All things Irish. Shamrock Shakes. 

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend as much as I plan to!

Today I'm in a bit of a funk that I cant seem to shake.

White Weekend

I guess in January one should expect to see snow quite often.

Some mornings it's bothersome and unnecessary stress for the morning commute.

Luckily yesterday morning, I woke up to a plowed driveway,

cleaned off car, and was able to thoroughly enjoy the beauty of it.

Any and all surprises are fun.

I'm starting to see a trend of surprises in my life lately

and I'm definitely ok with it.

Both last weekend and this weekend involve surprises.
